Published balance floors: $800 minimum daily balance for revenue-based financing, and $5,000 average balance or 10% of monthly revenue for bank-style credit.
Figures verified 2026-09-21$800 is the published minimum average daily balance for revenue-based financing. Bank-style lines of credit and term loans want $5,000 average balance, or 10% of monthly revenue — whichever is greater. On $80,000 a month, that 10% test means $8,000, not $5,000. Almost nobody in this industry publishes either number.
| Program | Minimum balance | How it is measured |
|---|---|---|
| Bank-style line of credit or term loan | $5,000 average balance | or 10% of monthly revenue, whichever is greater |
| Revenue-based financing | $800 minimum daily balance | Measured as an average daily balance, not a single-day low |
This is the detail that decides applications. The test is the average of every day's closing balance across the month, not the balance on the day you apply and not the month-end figure. A business that sweeps to $200 for three weeks and then deposits $40,000 on the 28th can show a healthy month-end number and still fail the average.
Because the bank-style test is the greater of $5,000 or 10% of monthly revenue, it gets harder as you grow. At $25,000 a month the test is $5,000. At $150,000 a month it is $15,000. Businesses that clear the revenue minimum easily are the ones most likely to be surprised by this one.
Leave the float in the operating account for a full statement cycle before applying rather than sweeping it to savings. Underwriting reads the operating account, so money parked elsewhere does not count toward the average.
These are our requirements. Most sites answering this question give you a range and a "contact us for details" — because publishing a real threshold means being held to it. We would rather you know before you apply whether you clear the bar, so the numbers above are the actual ones an application is measured against, not a marketing range. They are reviewed on the dates below and updated here when they change.
One application, read against every program above. No fee, and no effect on your credit to find out.
